Put Your Vessel to Work for Science
Support real research, enhance your image, and unlock new purpose—and potential income.
Every year, scientists around the world search for affordable, flexible access to the ocean. Many can’t find what they need through traditional research fleets. That’s where you—and your sailboat—come in.
How It Works
1. Register Your Vessel
Use the form below to tell us where your boat is, the kind of sailing you do, and what you have onboard (e.g. power, spare space, data connection, tender, etc.). We’ll add your vessel to our platform for future mission matching.
2. Receive Mission Requests
When a scientist submits a project, we check their requirements against our network of boats based on location, availability, and onboard capabilities. If there's a fit, we’ll send you a mission proposal. You decide whether to take it.
3. Set Terms & Collaborate
We help both sides agree on key details—timing, responsibilities, costs, logistics, and data protocols—so expectations are aligned and everything is clear before you commit. Participation may come with compensation, depending on the scope and setup of the mission.
4. Welcome Science Aboard
Depending on the project, either host the researcher on your vessel or carry out the measurements yourself. Either way, you’re enabling real science—and telling a new story about your boat.
